I am running Ubuntu Gutsy and I installed Stardict 3.0.0 from the Gutsy Repository. Whenever the definition window (or whatever you call it) comes out and I try to put my mouse over it, the definition window goes to the top left of my screen. Since the definition window moves away from my mouse, it will suddenly disappear. I removed the stardict that I installed from the Gutsy repository and installed the deb from http://stardict.sourceforge.net/ . The same thing happened.

How can I fix this?

I've the same problem !!!
I've reported this bug in the gutsy launchpad too.

This problem don't produce log ...

if you need help to resolve this bug (test, more information about it, ...) i'll help you if I can.

I can add a strange thing, if I open the option box, and a search a word in a same time, i can go to the popup with my mouse, but the scroll don't work and the menu don't appears

Hi!
Same problem with SUSE 10.3!
I tried it with all rmp versions I find for suse (2.4.4, 2.4) and also tried 3.0 (for FC).
As same prob is seen on Ubuntu... Can I suppose that trouble is caused by some new library versions?

It is caused by window manager? I didn't meet this ago in Fedora.
Are you using compiz instead of metacity? If so, report to them.

AFAIK - no. I'm using KDE. And I had tried as "vanilla" Stardict (with gnome dependences) as Stardic_without_gnome from Suse repo (of course I installed all dependences).

I didn't meet this ago in Fedora.

Neither did I in Suse 10.2 or earlier.

Are you using compiz instead of metacity? If so, report to them.

I tried it with them also - with no luck

But mainly I'm concerned with plain KDE desktop.

Personally I'm using Gnome 2.20 with Ubuntu gutsy gibon.
This is after the migration to this new version that I had problems

I don't use compiz, metacity only.

Isn't It caused by the new version of GTK ???
Because some other software had problems with it.

I'm getting this same problem, but it's only since i upgraded to Kubuntu 7.10, it never happened when i was running with 7.04....
